Our Story
Supem Niwasa, officially known as The Colombo Home for Children Needing Special Care, has been a pillar of compassionate care since 1962. Originally established as a day care center for children with special needs, it gradually evolved to provide full residential care. Today, the home operates from its dedicated facility in Wijerama Junction, Nugegoda, continuing its long-standing mission of service and support.
Our Mission
Our name reflects our purpose—creating a loving and nurturing environment for children with special needs, especially those with Down Syndrome and other developmental challenges. Supem Niwasa is committed to empowering each child through personalized care, education, and life skills, enabling them to live meaningful, dignified lives.
